Ample rehearsal time is essential to a successful high school marching band. Although we rehearse for many extra hours during the marching season, our after school rehearsal schedule is designed to allow the typical high school student plenty of time for homework, an after school job, family time, church, and other activities. Time management is the key to being in the Tiger Marching Band and being a successful high school student.
As of August 30, 2010, our sectional schedule will be as follows!
Tiger Marching Band After School Rehearsal Schedule
Mondays: By Invitation (make ups, pass offs, discipline, etc.)
Tuesday Night Rehearsal: Full Band from 6:00-8:00
Wednesdays: Color Guard
Thursdays: Woodwinds & Brass & Percussion
Sectionals begin shortly after school ends and run for one hour from the actual start time. After school rehearsals are required and must be attended in order to perform with the Tiger Marching Band. Penalties for absences are handled on a case by case basis, but excuses (except for sickness/death/emergency in the family) from after school rehearsals are seldom granted. |
